Interesting story with this one. I was buying VHS tapes on ebay to use in my VHS camera i had also bought from ebay. I bought a pack of 10 "sold as blank" VHS tapes. This means that whatever contents were on them were left on them. Me being crazy about preserving lost media, I decided to check the contents of every single tape. Mechanism is having issues with reopening. I had to make the spring stupidly tight for it to reopen fully, but now the solenoid also has issues sucking in as a result. Don't worry, I will keep working on it and eventually ill get it right.

@SirenRecordingsofIowa square horn but put mkii chopper? Yes i wanna try that someday when i make a centralia style 130 in the future! Cant do it on the tube bc the tube needs the motor centered to drive the rotator

This one has way more detail and the outlet ports are properly to scale and centered. And the ports are 10 port sized instead of 12 port sized. Thank Demetrius Padilla for the edits!!!!

For anyone wondering, I modeled these stators for Jared Little bit in depth here, I had Nascar send me the .stl for the version 4 stators, and made several improvements both visually and mechanically, I'm so glad these improvements made the siren perform better than ever! Nascar when you see this, you should upload the of the chopper assembly running so more people can see it outside the tube

Sweet! When are u gonna try and reprint the last peice of the horn? Ik you have other projects but I'm curious
I decided im just gonna leave it with he partial horn. Adding the final section doesnt make hardly anything of a difference. And i really dont think ill get the weight to be manageable for it. Instead, im printing an improved horn assembly demetrius made for me that goes with the improved chopper assembly already in it. Horn will stay shortened. Demetrius improved the stators, and im gonna improve the rotors

Nah, the mk1 has a much smaller horn, and it being a tube means all of the mechanical innards have their weight centered directly over the blower pipe. So i think that one should have plenty of weight to counteract the horn@liamwaldrup

Why did you reprint the stators
@Mariaaguello After seeing pictures of inside the ports from one of the greenville hurricane owners, i realized the port opening is larger. I originally thought it was 12 port sized. No it is more like 10 port sized. Demetrius also added more detail to the stator and made the outlet hole to scale and centered like the real one. And the port size change also resulted in more proper windmill!

These are not straight vanes. Thats just on the 130. The mkii has angled vanes. Or by straight do u mean the vanes being just angled, as opposed to B&M where they are full blown curved?

It was a T200 tape recorded at SLP speed, so it can store more than a typical VHS tape
